The "Digital World" Gallery

A permanent exhibition titled “Digital World” features 32 interactive exhibits thoughtfully curated into seven thematic sections. The exhibition vividly showcases India’s digital journey, highlighting the nation’s remarkable achievements in Information Technology (IT) and its pioneering contributions to science and technology. The newly unveiled Digital World Gallery is organised into the following thematic sections: Introduction, Indian Challenges, Digital India, Digital Health & Wellbeing, Digital Commerce, Digital Entertainment, and Artificial Intelligence. Visitors embark on a captivating journey that begins with the evolution of computers, tracing their transformation from room -sized machines to today’s powerful pocket -sized devices. Key highlights include “C -DAC: An Indian Success Story,” which illustrates India’s emergence as a global leader in high - performance computing
Following the denial of access to the Cray supercomputer by the United States, and “C -DOT: Harbinger of the Communication Revolution,” showcasing groundbreaking innovations such as the Rural Automatic Exchange (RAX) that transformed India’s telecommunications landscape. The gallery also offers immersive and interactive experiences powered by Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), including a Virtual Zoo, flight simulators, and a visual effects studio. Visitors can further explore cutting -edge advancements in digital health, smart city solutions, and virtual dressing rooms, making the exhibition both informative and engaging for audiences of all ages.
